Job Title: Process Engineer
The process engineer will provide day to day technical process engineering support for our growing equipment design and fabrication business.
Duties:
Perform process modeling & simulation for oil and natural gas processing technologies, and generate energy & material balance.
Detailed process equipment sizing for various code and none code vessels such as separators, absorbers, distillation columns, heat exchangers, process heaters, PSVs, valves, storage tanks, prover tanks, pipings etc.
Carry-out detail design of ASME code vessels and generation of vessel BOM.
Develop process equipment documentation, operating instructions and equipment specification manual etc.
Development of PFDs & P&IDs for skid packages and able to review & markup skid package engineering drawings.
Provide process details for process safety and control system design such as PSVs, control valves, alarms and trip set-point lists.
Interfacing with customers, equipment vendors, reviewing specifications, and equipment drawings to ensure the process equipment meets the process requirements, regulations and applicable codes.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to provide process support set plan for the design and fabrication of oil and gas process equipment such as gas dehydration, acid gas sweetening, hydrocarbon due point control etc.
Reaching out to current and potential clients to provide technical support and keep sales communication lines open.
Solicit feedback from customer’s plant operations personnel and incorporate equipment design changes as necessary.
Develop project specifications, equipment data sheet, material list and other needed process information to engineering and proposals department for budgetary and firm cost development on proposals.
Able to research and evaluate new technologies and improve on various equipment manufacturing processes for oil & gas and petrochemical industries.
Project engineering responsibilities and other assigned tasks.
Experience using various engineering design software like Aspen Hysys and Microsoft excel is required
Demonstrate ability to read and write fluently in English
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical engineering
Minimum of three (3) years process engineering experience in the oil and gas industries
Well verse using process engineering software packages such as Hysys, Promax or VMGSIM
Competent user of other computing tools such as Microsoft office excel, word etc.
Proficient with spoken and written English language
Must thrive in a fast paced environment and be able to work effectively in a team
